Our work matters to millions. Itll matter to you too. Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Document Controller on our Hinkley Point C Project and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work.

Hinkley Point C is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years !! Based in Somerset it will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and career opportunities.

As a document controller you will manage and control all project documents and workflows to ensure accurate registration, storage of information/correspondence, accurate liaison with site team, subcontractors, customers, external suppliers to provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of Business Collaborator and other information management platforms to relevant teams/subcontractors.

What you'll be doing

As a Document Controller you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain confidential records and Protectively Marked Material
  • Manage the control of Internal and External registers, to ensure they both align.
  • Create templates and file all relevant documentation, SharePoint and other platforms.
  • Distribute information with correct configuration management and version control.
  • Support in review of supply chain specialists
  • Support in compilation, control, and submission of H&S file/Quality Handover information
  • Execute contractual requirements in relation to document control as noted by senior personnel.
  • Ensure accurate control of digital information from pre-construction through to archiving.
  • Manage business archiving such that all documentation is stored efficiently and can be accessed and references at all times.

Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Experience of document control
  • Able to obtain a Security Clearance
  • Proficient in IT systems used in documentation control.
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business
