Painter Brothers is one of the UK's leading specialist in structural steel manufacture. We have the capacity to produce in excess of 15,000 tones of steelwork each year. Our 50,000m2 site has a wide range of machinery meaning we can manufacture and store any type of structural steelwork, including galvanised specialist structural steelwork.

As the UKs largest fabricator of towers for the overhead power transmission network, we are embarking on a period of considerable growth. What you'll be doing

  • Provide functional support to the business in advising on upcoming pipeline development, competitive landscape and market knowledge.
  • Maximize opportunities by utilising Balfour Beatty Group companies and cross-selling.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities to add value, increase revenue and margin, and grow market share in structural steel fabrication.
  • Establish a flexible pipeline with a high conversion rate in order to achieve growth objectives.
  • Engage with operations teams to ensure works are planned to maximise utilisation and margin.
  • Prepare high-quality internal and external presentations and present these personally and/or coach senior leadership to provide accurate and persuasive presentations.
  • Prepare proposals that reflect the principles of high-value selling.
  • Support business unit leaders in achieving 100% sales targets and improving operational efficiency.
  • Influence operational business unit leaders in order to deliver high quality tenders and to maintain excellent customer relationships.

Who we're looking for

  • Business improvement experience preferably within the steelwork manufacture or power transmission & distribution industries gained either through direct experience of delivery and / or direct experience of market expansion.
  • Experience with Tier 1 contractors in the Power Transmission & Distribution Rail or Highway sectors.
  • Experience in supporting business units in maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Experience in presenting to the customer and managing internal customers.
  • Track record of growing businesses and targeted growth.
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to follow defined business processes.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.
