About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a DATA CAPTURE TECHNICIAN to join our Gas & Water business unit to work in Wolverhampton.

Role Purpose:

To accurately data capture all relevant digitisable information from site whilst adhering to all relevant policies & procedure and transpose accurately for submission to back office.

What you'll be doing

As a DATA CAPTURE TECHNICIAN, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • To ensure that all mains replacement lay and abandon activities are surveyed and recorded whilst holes open;
  • Map templates completed using range of different techniques to include GPS technology (where applicable);
  • Ensure that documentation complies with DR23 minimum standards as required by National Grid.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following qualities and experience:

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including Maths and English;
  • Must possess driving licence;
  • EUSR Utility Shea (Gas);
  • EUSR Data Capture certification;
  • ICT literate (MS Office);
  • Competent using general office facilities.
